United kingdom, 1960s origin united kingdom period 1960s designer giotto stoppino (vigevano, 30 april 1926 – milan, 23 august 2011) italian architect and designer, he trained at the iuav in venice and the polytechnic of milan, where he was a student of ernesto nathan rogers, who involved him in projects for the bbpr studio and in the editorial staff of 'casabella'. In 1953 he founded the architetti associati studio in novara together with vittorio gregotti and lodovico meneghetti, active for fifteen years and author of over 250 projects including urban planning, architecture and industrial design. Among the works of the period: the workers' housing in cameri, the cavour armchair for s.i.m. In curved wood and the 537 lamp for arteluce (1967), which entered the permanent collection of the moma in new york in 1970. From 1968 he continued his activity in an independent studio, ranging from architecture, urban planning and design. Among the best-known products of the following period: the 4676 magazine rack for kartell (1972) and the sheraton storage unit for acerbis international (1979), present since 1981 in the permanent collection of the victoria and albert museum in london. He won the compasso d'oro in 1979 for the sheraton and in 1991 for the alessia handle system for olivari, in addition to two honorable mentions in the previous decades. On 12 july 2011 he was awarded the compasso d'oro for lifetime achievement. He was president of the industrial design association (adi) from 1982 to 1984. Model 4095 materials glossy abs, single color, black and red variants dimensions stacked trio: ø 50 cm h 46 cm conditions the tables are in good condition, as can be seen from the attached photos.
