The design is entirely supported … Read more This sculptural wall lamp from the 1960s was manufactured by the Austrian company Kalmar Franken. The design is entirely supported by the substantial shade of clear textured glass, which is formed from a single piece and encloses the metal fixture on the front and both sides. The glass features a pronounced relief with an almost icy texture. Due to its generous thickness and slightly curved shape, the lamp displays a strong, architectural presence even when unlit. The metal mounting remains largely out of sight, making the glass appear to hang almost freely in front of the wall. Two light sources are located behind the glass shade. As soon as the lamp is lit, the relief is illuminated from within, and the light refracts through the irregular structure of the glass. This creates a warm, diffuse glow with a lively interplay of light and shadow on the wall. The lamps have been carefully cleaned and technically inspected in our workshop. The textured glass is in neat vintage condition and is free of cracks. The metal parts show light signs of wear consistent with their age. We have three identical units available.

The lamps are sold individually, but when placed side by side, they also form a particularly striking ensemble. Height 31.5 cm Width 20 cm Depth 12.5 cm
