The design was created by Glasmaster … Read more The wide wooden frame defines the character of this Swedish mirror from the 1970s. The design was created by Glasmaster Markaryd and still features the original label reading Glasmaster Markaryd, Made in Sweden. The oval frame is constructed from four sections of solid pine. The joints are a deliberate part of the design, allowing the different directions of the wood grain to align beautifully. This pattern is particularly prominent in the curves. The visible knots and natural color variations are inherent to the wood used and give each part of the frame its own distinct character.

with dimensions of 80 by 60 cm, the mirror has a pleasantly generous size without taking up much wall space. Thanks to its understated shape and light wood, it combines easily with Scandinavian and vintage design as well as a more minimalist or Japandi interior. The mirror can be used both horizontally and vertically. Horizontally, the oval shape takes on a broad, almost landscape-like appearance, while vertically it works beautifully above a washbasin, chest of drawers, or in a hallway. The wooden frame has been carefully cleaned and treated by us. The mirror is in neat vintage condition. The original glass is also well preserved. We have two identical copies available, which are sold separately.
