Set of 5 original vintage steam-bent beech chairs, produced by the renowned jacob & josef kohn (vienna), a historic competitor of thonet during the vienna secession period.
the set, dating from 1900-1915, is certified by the original brand "j.&j. Kohn / wien" branded on the inner protective frame.
these chairs are distinguished from classic bistro chairs by their refined, queen anne-inspired, contoured central panel (vase-shaped backrest) and the elegant, wavy line of the front legs.
they are in good structural condition, stable, and solid. Signs of age (minor wear and surface scratches consistent with the age of the item) are present, enhancing their authenticity.
a re-polishing may be necessary to enhance the overall character of the set. This piece has an attribution mark,
