Pair of italian wall sconces dating from the 1950s, characterized by a light and sculptural brass structure combined with rounded opaline glass diffusers. Each fixture features a round brass wall plate supporting a slender angled brass arm, which extends upward and forward to hold a spherical white opaline glass shade with an open front. The slightly inclined position of the glass creates a directional yet softly diffused light, while the curved brass detail at the base of the arm gives the pair a refined decorative profile.
the design has a clean mid-century italian character, with a balanced contrast between the warm aged brass and the satin white glass. The compact wall plate and elongated arm create an elegant silhouette suitable for use as bedside lamps, accent wall lights or decorative sconces.
the brass surfaces show a natural vintage patina, with oxidation, tonal variations, small marks and signs of age consistent with time and use. The opaline glass shades are in good vintage condition, with light signs of use. Overall in good vintage condition.
