Pair of italian wall sconces dating from the 1950s, characterized by a sculptural mid-century composition and a distinctive combination of brass, green lacquer and opaline glass.
each fixture features a round brass wall plate lacquered in green, measuring 12 cm / 4.72 in in diameter. From the wall plate extends a shaped tubular brass arm with a curved profile, supporting a spherical opaline glass diffuser. The glass is held by a black lacquered iron element, creating a strong contrast with the warm brass structure and the green wall plate.
the opaline glass globes provide a soft and even light diffusion, while the curved brass arms give the pair a decorative and dynamic silhouette. The design has a refined italian mid-century character, with an unusual color combination that makes the sconces particularly distinctive.
the brass surfaces show natural vintage patina, oxidation, tonal variations and signs of age consistent with time and use. The green lacquered wall plates and black lacquered iron holders show minor wear. The opaline glass diffusers are in good vintage condition, with light signs of use.
