Description:
Presenting a magnificent and highly decorative vintage Chinese hardwood cabinet. Crafted from dense, richly grained Huali Rosewood with a spectacular, warm reddish-brown patina and natural "ghost face" grain, this chest features a classic asymmetric design.
The right side features three sliding drawers, each fitted with an exquisite silver/bronze animal-head pull. The left side features a single door, exquisitely carved with an "Haitang" (crabapple-shaped) reticulated opening surrounded by intricate floral scrollwork. The door is fitted with heavy brass hinges and an aged lock plate. This piece is perfect for storing tea, jewelry, or small collectibles.
Condition: Excellent condition. The wood is solid with a beautiful natural patina. All carved details are crisp and intact. The drawers and door slide smoothly. Minor surface wear and slight oxidation to the hardware, consistent with age and use. No structural damage. Please refer to all photos for exact condition.
