Handwoven from extremely fine handspun wool, it showcases a lively stripe pattern in naturally dyed hues of yellow, red, cranberry, tan, navy, and blue that retain a freshness and energy remarkable for a piece of its age. In the tradition of many larger Turkish kilims, it was woven in two narrow panels on a horizontal loom and skillfully joined together — a construction method commonly associated with nomadic and semi-nomadic weavers of Anatolia and the Caucasus. A rare and joyful piece for collectors and interior designers alike.
