Cheerful and bold, this small vintage Moroccan kilim is a celebration of mid-century color at its most exuberant. Handwoven in the banded tradition of North African flat-weave textiles, it features brilliant stripes of orange and yellow that radiate a warmth and vitality rarely found in more restrained weaving traditions. Berber artisans of Morocco have passed this stripe format down through generations, valuing it not only for its beauty but for the speed and skill it demands of the weaver. Its compact proportions make it an ideal accent piece — a burst of color in an entryway, a layering rug beside a sofa, or a vibrant wall hanging in a small space.
A flat-woven kilim, it is lightweight and fully reversible — practical as well as beautiful.
