The artist has always been an outdoors enthusiast, and particularly loves the American West. "You Had to Be There" abstractly expresses her love of both plant life and mountain scenery. She hopes the viewer will be inspired to experience nature!
This acrylic painting is on gallery wrapped canvas. It is initialed on the front and signed on the back, and has a UV protective varnish. It is in a black wood floater frame with a narrow gold front edge, which is wired and ready to hang.
Laurie MacMillan has enjoyed numerous awards and solo exhibitions, and has had pieces selected for over a hundred juried group shows. Her work is held in personal and business collections across the U.S., and in Canada and England.
