Beautiful coordinated pair of vintage four-panel Asian byōbu-style wall screens featuring birds, flowering branches and foliage against warm gold-toned backgrounds.
Each screen has a different composition and poetic Chinese inscription:
• “Mandarin-Duck Companions Beside the Stream”
• “Secluded Birds amid Purple Blossoms and Green Foliage”
Both bear the matching “Yunye” artist-style signature and red seal marks, indicating that they were created as a coordinated pair. Finished with rust-colored brocade-style borders, slim dark frames and gray fabric-covered backs with metal hardware for wall hanging.
Each screen measures approximately 59” wide × 35” tall. Together, they create an impressive statement installation spanning nearly 10 feet, or they can be displayed separately above a sofa, bed, console or sideboard.
Vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age. Please review the detailed photographs for exact condition.
