A sleek vintage desk lamp with a distinctly modernist, late-20th-century aesthetic. Executed entirely in polished chrome, the lamp features a substantial rectangular base, geometric upright stem and articulated cylindrical shade.
The lamp head is adjustable, allowing the direction of the light to be positioned as desired, and the integrated dimmer provides adjustable illumination. The highly reflective chrome finish gives the piece a sculptural quality, making it equally suited to a desk, console, bedside table or contemporary reading area.
The maker and designer are unknown; there are no visible identifying marks. The design appears consistent with the 1970s–1980s period.
