Striking vintage expressionist portrait depicting a theatrical clown with vivid red hair, piercing blue eyes, and dramatically painted features. Broad, energetic brushstrokes and a distinctive palette of red, turquoise, powder blue, pink, black, and cream give the work an emotional, almost avant-garde presence.
Signed and apparently dated “’70” in the lower-left corner. Presented on stretched canvas without an exterior frame, allowing the artwork’s strong composition and painted edges to remain the focus. A memorable statement piece for an eclectic interior, contemporary loft, creative studio, gallery wall, or collector of circus and figurative artwork.
Artist attribution and exact paint medium are currently unknown. Available for pickup from our Jersey City gallery/showroom. Delivery or shipping may be arranged.
