The dramatic base is composed of four cast hand-finished high relief bronze metal legs having a well patinated finish. Each finial leg is crafted with a pierced waist, smooth domed roundels, ornate hammered accents, all tapering down into ball feet. The table is topped by a large circle of Carrara marble with beautiful grey veining and small salmon inclusions. The marble and legs are connected with a wood board mount underneath for stability. The dark and sculptural legs ground the bright Carrara marble and give the piece an unique and striking presence. The versatile piece is crafted in a modernized Bohemian Moorish style, well-suited for a variety of spaces as a low coffee table, occasional table, drinks table, or pedestal. From an estate in San Francisco, CA.
