The piece features a striking rectangular top measuring 6 feet wide constructed from beautifully patinated and etched bronze. The top is crafted in the manner and style of Philip and Kelvin LaVerne, New York. The panel showcases the etched bronze in smoky gold tones with a banded patinated brass edge and mitered corners. The top sits above an apron fronted by three burl walnut veneered drawers, each outlined by a brass molding and fitted with brass pulls. The table is supported by an impressive tubular faux-bamboo ringed brass frame joined by box stretchers, creating an open lattice effect. The table is crafted in a Mid-Century Modern style while invoking Hollywood Regency and Chinoiserie influences, well-suited for use in a variety of spaces as a console, hall table, writing desk, sofa table, or vanity. Original Mastercraft maker's label is located inside a drawer. The case is beautifully crafted having solid joinery in exceptional well preserved condition.
