Beautiful set of 5 dining chairs in new velvet upholstery and after a complete restoration. The chairs were designed by Oswald Haerdtl for TON (Thonet) in the 1950s, produced in Czechoslovakia.
Typical mid-century design. Backrest in bent plywood, lacquered legs in the dark stain of oak with mat finish. The backrest and seat were newly upholstered into a beautiful teal velvet (Magic velvet) which complements the dark wood perfectly. The combination looks strong and very elegant. Strong and stable chair with comfortable seating. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
