Enjoy this exquisite, authentic antique Noritake porcelain coffee, tea, and breakfast serving service. Hand-painted in Japan during the historic Taisho era, this incredibly rare grouping carries the coveted maroon Morimura “M in Wreath” backstamp, dating its production precisely between 1911 and 1921.
Stylistically, this set captures a beautiful moment of design transition. The delicate, flowing wildflower bouquets lean toward Art Nouveau, while the crisp, symmetrical pink border and elegant gold scrollwork hint at the early Art Deco movement that was just beginning to emerge. Because these early pieces were entirely hand-painted by studio artists rather than mass-produced with factory decals, the pattern has no official name. Every floral spray and gold accent is a unique piece of art.
Curation & Missing Pieces:This grouping is uniquely curated as a luxurious solo breakfast-in-bed set or an elegant tea-for-one service. While it includes two complete sets I of plates, bowls, and egg cups alongside its magnificent serving pots, there is currently one tea cup and one matching saucer missing.Far from a detraction, this makes the set absolutely perfect for a solo connoisseur looking for an unrivaled luxury morning routine, or for a designer looking for an instantly styled display vignette. It also offers an exciting, rewarding hunt for the collector who enjoys tracking down accent pieces over time!

It does not affect the structural integrity of the piece and is minor. The underside locking tab on one of the pot lids has a small chip (see photo). This is completely hidden from view when the lid is seated on the pot and does not affect how securely the lid rests. The domed lid of the muffin dish shows a few very faint, minor dark surface smudges/scuffs on the side (please enhance photos). These appear to be superficial surface marks rather than scratches or wear to the porcelain glaze." less
