The closed cover is black with cream lettering and a small architectural motif.

The reverse and inner flap advertise “Full Banquet Facilities,” “Entertainment Nightly,” and the old exchange number LA 6-5600. (The number is written LA 6-5600. That is the old 2-letter exchange style (LAwrence 6). Washington still used named exchanges through the 1950s and most of the 1960s. All-number calling took over in the mid-to-late 1960s).

Contains its original matches.

Mounted on a light canvas panel and presented in a simple black wood frame with glass, ready to hang or stand. The matchbook itself shows honest vintage wear: surface scuffs, faded gold, worn edges, and used match heads.

A small piece of mid-century Washington hotel ephemera — good for a bar cart, office, or DC-themed wall.

Matchbook: roughly 2 inches tall by 1½ inches wide closed.

The black frame around it is much larger, 9 × 9 inches with a wide border of canvas on all sides, so the matchbook sits as a small accent in the center. See less
