Compact, irregular form reading as a small organic sculpture for a paperweight, bookshelf, coffee table, or cabinet.

Materials: natural mineral (yellow crystalline aggregate with white crystals; species not professionally identified).

Natural surface texture and matrix irregularities throughout. No odor.

Suitable as a decorative object /specimen.

White crystal clusters, honey-yellow granules, cellular, almost lichen and a rusty iron matrix are unprocessed earth—not a cast or print: a real piece of ground on the desk. It has some crumbles coming off of it, so I would find a method of display that is self contained.

The white crystals are faceted but clustered like ice or salt; living-looking patterns, a clear structure (crystals on matrix) without repeating like a product for the eye to wander: white pockets, yellow mounds, red cavities. Small sparkle is a natural, non-rhythmic stimulus as apposed to a screen / fluorescent light.

Does the practical job of a paperweight on the desk the way a stone anchors a garden path: irregular mass / outline, no synthetic plastic shine. See less
