Antique Cobalt Blue Porcelain Bronze Mounted French Empire Style Table Lamp 41”
Description
Impressive antique cobalt blue porcelain and bronze/brass mounted table lamp, executed in an ornate French Empire / Louis XVI Revival taste.
The tall cobalt blue porcelain urn-form body is richly mounted with substantial gilt bronze or brass decoration, including classical architectural handles, raised floral and foliate ornaments, draped laurel wreath swags, acorn-form finials, decorative bands, and an elaborate circular pedestal base. The deep cobalt blue porcelain provides a particularly striking contrast against the aged gilt metal mounts.
The lamp retains an ornate double-socket lighting assembly with individual pull chains and a decorative pierced metal finial. A handsome and substantial antique lamp with excellent presence, suitable for an important traditional, neoclassical, French or Hollywood Regency interior.
Measurements: approximately 41” high overall x 9” wide x 9” deep.
