A striking contemporary ceramic art platter by acclaimed American artist Robyn O’Neil (b. 1977), dated 2021.
Executed in glossy white glazed ceramic, the rectangular tray features O’Neil’s signature thematic narrative: a dramatic, storm-swept landscape centered around a dark, towering tornado. The composition is populated with her characteristic silhouetted figures caught in chaotic motion, windswept pine trees, and airborne debris rendered in deep monochrome tones.
The reverse is signed in ink with the artist's signature, dated 2021, and neatly inscribed ROBYN O'NEIL.
Robyn O’Neil is widely recognized for her monumental graphite drawings and works on paper held in permanent collections including the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Dallas Museum of Art. Ceramic studio pieces and editions from O’Neil are exceptionally rare, making this an exquisite crossover piece for collectors of contemporary art, fine studio ceramics, or dramatic narrative design.

Features a stable, in-making kiln firing fissure extending from the lower rim into the body (visible on both front and reverse). This occurred during the original studio firing/cooling process and is completely factory-glazed over on both sides; it is smooth to the touch, structurally solid, and sealed within the ceramic matrix.
