A striking 1985 mallard duck sculpture by Italian artist Auro Belcari. Captured at the moment of takeoff, the bird rises through sculpted marsh foliage with its wings fully extended, displaying beautifully rendered layers of feathers and a graceful sense of movement.
The sculpture has a warm ivory matte finish and rests on a turned oval wood base. Its monochromatic palette gives the traditional wildlife subject a clean, sculptural presence suited to a library, study, lake house, lodge, or collected traditional interior.
