Distinctive beaded necklace handcrafted with striking deep blue lapis lazuli and cylindrical green serpentine. The center is anchored by a large, smooth lapis focal bead flanked by round disc spacers.
This specific combination of vibrantly blue natural lapis lazuli and earthy green serpentine, “Afghanistan Jade” is signature Mid Century tribal jewelry from Afghanistan, which is historically one of the world's most prominent sources of premium lapis lazuli mined in the Badakhshan region. The stones are natural/untreated, deep blue with pyrite throughout. Natural, high-grade lapis is becoming increasing difficult to find making this necklace an investment worthy accessory.
