Subject and Style: Rigorous all-over design on a midnight blue background, punctuated by a dense repetition of the classic Boteh motif within minute diamonds and framed by elaborate concentric borders in shades of salmon red.
Material and Finish: Fine wool, entirely hand-knotted at a high density; compact and durable pile with protective canvas bands applied along the edges.
