a rare and spectacular quadruple tap fountain in pyritic sandstone, signed by the workshop of charles gaudry (1933-1980), a french painter and ceramicist based in saint-amand-en-puisaye, burgundy, where he founded the poterie des moreaux in 1968. A leading figure in the revival of contemporary stoneware in the 1960s and 70s, charles gaudry is recognized for having modernized the traditional forms of puisaye with pieces that are both sculptural and functional.

this fountain, with its generous and rounded silhouette, rests on a baluster base and is distinguished by its quadruple wooden taps, arranged on either side of the body—an unusual technical feature that testifies to the workshop's artisanal expertise. The mottled brown and gray glaze, typical of wood-fired pyrite stoneware, offers a vibrant interplay of colors and textures.
