The stool features a substantial circular seat supported by three elegantly splayed and turned legs. The seat is particularly decorative, with a series of concentric carved and turned rings that create a strong graphic composition and beautifully emphasize the grain of the oak. The turned legs, with their sculptural ring detailing and rounded feet, are strongly reminiscent of the distinctive vocabulary associated with Charles Dudouyt and French modernist-rustic furniture of the mid-20th century.
