This elegant mid-century lamp features a sculptural red metal shade with a softly flared conical form, held by a refined brass arm construction with articulated joints. The curved brass frame gives the piece a dynamic, almost drawn line quality, while the bold red shade adds a strong italian design accent. The perforated details around the shade are a beautiful functional element, allowing small points of light and ventilation while emphasizing the graphic character of the design. The shade can be adjusted at the brass joint, making the lamp suitable for use as a desk lamp, reading light or decorative table lamp on a sideboard or bedside table. The red painted surface shows visible vintage wear, including small marks, light scratches and minor paint losses, while the brass has developed a warm patina.
