He has been living in his own world and could not get along with others so well. Maybe modern people who only remember the best in this busy world could treat him as stuffy and slow one. But Ttubucki is a child who walks his way according to his own beliefs and standards. The artist wants to show strong desire to keep in mind and remember things which had been erased and forgotten through Ttubucki in this work. Hyun Deok-Sik chooses Zhangji-technique which is the traditional technique to record stone craftsmen’ history and daily lives by carving the stone over and over. By Hyun Deok-Sik: "Carving" means a desperate desire to reveal events or daily precious things that have not been erased from memory but might be forgotten. I hope that my work can be and opportunity for the audience to think again and find out the honest looks of the past that has been forgotten before like me.
