Colorful vintage hand-painted wooden boomerang wall hanging, estimated to date from the 1980s–1990s, featuring a striking stylized lizard motif.
The front is decorated in shades of turquoise green, terracotta red, black, yellow and white with intricate dotted and linear detailing. The combination of earthy colors and graphic pattern gives the piece a wonderful Australian folk-art-inspired appearance with plenty of character.
A metal hanging loop is attached to the reverse, indicating the piece was intended for decorative wall display rather than sporting use. It would make an eye-catching addition to a collected, bohemian, eclectic, global or Southwestern-inspired interior.
