Beautiful vintage Mexican folk art tray in the traditional Olinalá-style lacquer technique, featuring an intricate hand-decorated design of stylized birds, deer, flowers and foliage.
The black lacquered wood surface is richly detailed with fine dotted and linear decoration in muted shades of ochre, dusty pink, blue, green and cream. Multiple ornamental borders surround the central animal and bird scene, giving the piece wonderful depth and visual interest.
