A true single-slab live edge table: one continuous cross-section of a single Saman tree (monkeypod), cut natural edge to natural edge. Not narrow boards glued into a panel with a live edge applied to the outside.

Slab No. 18 is the showpiece of the container. A tight concentric bullseye sits in the figure where the grain wraps around the heart of the tree, and a large bark-lined natural void runs out from it along the length. Nine feet long, 2½ inches thick, 43 in at the broad end, 33 in at the waist and 38 in at the other end.

The void is natural to the tree. It has been left open and sealed in lacquer rather than filled with epoxy, so the piece keeps the record of how the tree grew. If you want to see how it sits in daily use, come and look at it.

Seats eight to ten. A statement dining table, or a conference table that people remember.

Professionally lacquered top, gloss sheen. Black steel base included; the base design paired with this slab is confirmed with you before purchase. Finished height 30 in.
