The urn features an intense neon-green ground that provides a vivid backdrop for an elaborate allover pattern of flowers and scrolling foliage, painted in contrasting dark tones of green, gilt gold, and brick red-brown.
The rounded body is decorated throughout with stylized floral and foliate motifs, creating a dense and highly decorative composition characteristic of Chinese Export decorative porcelain. The strong contrast between the luminous green ground and the darker botanical decoration gives the piece a particularly dramatic appearance, while the gilt accents add warmth and definition to the overall design. The urn is formed in a classic baluster shape, resting on a circular base with additional decorative trim around the lower portion. It is topped by an unattached domed cover decorated to complement the body and surmounted by a gilt-gold foo dog finial.
