The urn is richly decorated on a white/gray ground with colorful hand-painted scenes of birds, flowering plants, and scrolling foliage, rendered in a soothing palette of blue, pink, yellow, and purple. The body features large peony blossoms accompanied by delicately perched birds, creating a decorative composition characteristic of the enduring Chinese tradition of combining flowers and birds as subjects in porcelain decoration. The painted elements are arranged across the rounded body of the urn, emphasizing its elegant silhouette while providing visual interest from every angle.
