designed by hans-agne jakobsson in the 1960s for ab markaryd, the "s-2021" model interprets light through a rigorous composition, built on the alternation of conical volumes, lacquered metal, and reflective surfaces. Each wall lamp is composed of four satin-finish copper truncated cone-shaped diffusers, arranged vertically and connected at the center by cylindrical elements fixed to a purple lacquered metal frame. The symmetrical arrangement of the cones creates a clear and recognizable rhythm, while the color contrast between the copper and the frame accentuates the overall graphic character. The upward and downward opening of the diffusers directs the light in both directions, generating indirect illumination that enhances the wall and highlights the shape of the lamps. Even when turned off, the copper surfaces react to ambient light, highlighting the curvature of the cones and the precision of the composition. Good condition. May show signs of aging.
