A distinctive Le Klint Model 389 uplighter, combining a black lacquered metal structure with an original vertically pleated Le Klint plastic shade.
The lamp is constructed around a central cylindrical bulb housing, approximately 20 cm high and 11 cm in diameter. Three slender black-painted metal rods, each approximately 30 cm long, extend from the lower conical element to support the upper section.
The pleated Le Klint shade is held vertically between the conical base and matching screw-on conical cap, creating a particularly clean and architectural silhouette. At the bottom of the conical base is a domed silvered reflector, which directs light upwards through the pleated shade.
The combination of the black lacquered metalwork, silvered reflector and vertically creased plastic shade gives the lamp a striking Scandinavian character, with the pleated shade providing the softer contrast to the otherwise geometric construction.
