Subject in diluted clay paste called ''Barbotine'', signed by the ceramist R. Prunet.
This decorative object represents a couple of wild Mustang horses, with chestnut dresses with pretty reflections. Raised on their hind legs, they are almost lazily embracing each other. The male, with a voluminous or even scattered reddish mane, seems to whisper some mysteries in the ear of his female, more wisely coiffed.
The dominance of the equine on the right is marked by its chest with protruding pectorals, and more generally by the position, the power of its body, facing a mare with her head down.
The hooves of this pair rest on a base of predominantly Green and Brown, shaded with Yellow, and shaped to imitate a grassy meadow. This decorative animal object, of an interesting originality, has its base engraved with the name of its creator: ''Prunet''.
Period: 1900 / 1920
