This unique piece features an intricate openwork design with carved elephant, rhino, and leopard safari animals incorporated around the body, surrounded by pierced foliage and decorative geometric carving. A substantial carved handle rises over the top, giving the piece a highly sculptural appearance from every angle.

Several of the safari animals are embellished with small metal stud accents, adding texture and character to the carving. The wood has a warm medium-brown finish with the attractive variation and patina expected from a vintage hand-carved piece. See less
