Pair of vintage Thai silk paintings, c.1960s–70s, depicting richly detailed figures from the Ramakien, Thailand's celebrated national epic derived from the ancient Ramayana. Created on black silk in metallic gold, rust, green and white tones, the dramatic mythological scenes display beautifully as a coordinating pair. Professionally framed with rust-colored mats, gold inner borders and bamboo-form gilt frames by Masterpiece Art & Frame Gallery of Morganton, NC. Artwork originated in Thailand; artist unknown. Excellent for Asian Modern, Hollywood Regency, Chinoiserie, Eclectic and collected interiors.
