The dimensional central face is surrounded by four human figures, flowering vegetation and architectural imagery, while the lower portion becomes a vivid aquatic scene populated by a pair of stylized fish. Saturated turquoise blue, red, green, cream and ochre create a lively composition with considerable decorative presence despite the mask’s relatively compact scale.

The terracotta construction, hollow reverse and painted treatment are consistent with vintage Mexican folk-art wall masks, including examples associated with Guerrero and the Ixtapa region. The exact maker and workshop are unknown, so the regional attribution is presented as probable rather than definitive.
