Substantial vintage 1970s solid wood pedestal compote featuring a beautifully sculpted barley-twist center column, wide shallow bowl, and stepped circular base that measures 6.5 wide.
Exceptionally heavy and solid, the piece has a deep dark brown finish with an attractive aged surface and warm wood tones showing through areas of natural wear. The classic barley-twist form gives it an Old World character well suited to Traditional, English Country, European, and eclectic interiors.
Beautiful displayed as a centerpiece on a dining table, console, kitchen island, or mantel. Its sculptural form also makes it attractive displayed on its own.
Good vintage condition with surface scratches, rubbing, finish variations, and other age-appropriate wear that contribute to its character and patina. Please see photographs for details.
