An expressive bronze sculpture depicting a crouching male figure in a compact, introspective pose. The body is reduced to powerful rounded forms, with the bent knees, lowered head and broad arms creating a strong sense of weight and containment. The textured modelling gives the sculpture a tactile, almost primitive character.
the warm bronze surface has developed a beautiful natural patina, with darker areas emphasizing the modelling and depth of the figure. Signed ln; the identity of the artist is currently unknown.
about the artist
the sculpture is signed with the initials ln, but the artist has not yet been identified. The confident modelling and expressive treatment of the human form suggest the work of a skilled sculptor with a strong interest in figurative abstraction.
