Artist & Provenance
Gojmir Anton Kos was born in 1896 in Gorizia, Yugoslavia. He studied at the Academy in Vienna and continued his studies across Central and Western Europe. In 1945, he was appointed professor at the Academy in Ljubljana.

Kos exhibited extensively: 83 times in Yugoslavia and 39 times abroad. International exhibitions included Amsterdam (1932), Venice Biennale (1950), Berlin (1927), Brussels (1932), Vienna (1927), Leningrad (1947), London (1930), Milan (1957), Moscow (1947), Paris (1945–46), Warsaw (1948, 1957), Klagenfurt (1957, 1961), and India (1962).

He received multiple awards and is regarded as one of the most international Yugoslav artists of the 20th century. Kos was active and resided in Ljubljana.
