The artist kindly provided information about the object and has digital photographs of the work.
This work was created during his membership in the group “Asuurkeraamika.” During this time, Urmas Puhkan was deeply interested in various objects that produce sounds or noise. This experimentally abstracted “musical instrument,” strung with wires, is part of this series.

Urmas Puhkan
Painter, draftsman, ceramicist, art teacher.
Studied at the Tallinn Academy of Fine Arts (major: ceramics).
Numerous solo and group exhibitions since 1988.
Since 1992, Puhkan has led numerous workshops.
Member of the organizing committee of the annual Kohila Symposium for wood-fired ceramics from 2001 to 2020.
Head of the Ceramics Department at the Estonian Academy of Arts (Tallinn) from 2005 to 2023.
Member of the Gallery Council of the HOP Gallery (Tallinn) from 2005 to 2020.
Founder of the ARS Ceramics Studio in 2019.
Memberships:
Founder of the artists' group "Neoeksprepost" in 1988.
Founder of the artists' group "Asuurkeraamika" in 1993.

1992 Annual Prize of the Vaal Gallery
1999 First Place at the Baltic Pottery Competition in the Aesthetics Category in Kärdla
