The lights feature a … Read more Rare pair of original Mid-Century Modern pendant lights manufactured by Drupol in Czechoslovakia during the 1960s. The lights feature a distinctive layered cylindrical construction composed of black and ivory-white lacquered metal elements suspended from chrome-plated metal rods. The alternating geometric sections give the lamps a strong sculptural presence typical of European modernist and Space Age lighting of the period. When illuminated, warm light escapes through the horizontal openings between the individual layers, emphasizing the architectural construction and creating an attractive atmospheric glow.
