The construction recedes into the background, allowing the material to take center stage: a wide, cubic block arm on the right, an open chaise longue on the left, and in between, a continuous seating surface made of loosely arranged cushions. The espresso-colored smooth leather covers all surfaces and has softened noticeably at the seat edges. The frame is supported by low, dark block legs that are barely visible, giving the sofa a low profile. The left seat can be moved backward, thus altering the seat depth at that point. When pushed forward, you sit upright with your back in contact with the frame; when pushed back, you gain significantly more depth for leaning back and reclining. Together with the open chaise longue, this creates a sleeping surface spanning both legs. Because only this one seat moves, the rest of the sofa remains in a normal sitting position—practical when one person wants to lie down and the other sits.
