An imposing carved walnut fireplace in the Renaissance style: this fireplace rests on sturdy jambs concealed behind two carved busts of bearded atlantes; the lintel is decorated with flowers in coffers and a frieze with a Latin inscription, which reads from the side and the front: "Corona serum, Hic lares hic quies hic veterum memoriae, filii filiorum," evoking family continuity and the memory of ancestors.
The impressive mantelpiece features simpler ornamentation, highlighting the family crest composed of trefoils, a clawed bear's paw, and surmounted by a helmet.
This Renaissance-style fireplace dates from the 19th century and is in good overall condition: some chips and losses, cracks, and scratches.
