The chandelier … Read more Exceptional Art Deco chandelier with late Art Nouveau influences, originating from Czechoslovakia and dating to approximately the 1910s–1920s. The chandelier features a substantial sculptural polished brass structure supporting four large white opaline glass globes. Its distinctive construction includes architectural fluted detailing around the arms, a deep central brass bowl, decorative lower finial and an unusual geometric brass suspension chain. The combination of highly polished warm brass and softly illuminated opaline glass creates an impressive visual presence characteristic of sophisticated early 20th-century European lighting. Its transitional design combines elements of late Art Nouveau with the emerging geometric vocabulary of Art Deco, making the piece particularly suitable for Art Deco, Vienna Secession, traditional European, eclectic and contemporary interiors. This is an original period chandelier, carefully refurbished while retaining minor signs of use and age appropriate to its history. The brass has been professionally polished and the electrical system has been renewed.
