The faro is a classic example of the space age lighting aesthetic associated with italian design during the late 1960s and 1970s. This example features a vibrant orange hemispherical plastic shade, polished chrome upper fitting, and original black spiral suspension cord. The bold geometry and saturated colour give the piece a distinctly futuristic and sculptural presence. The lamp retains its original meblo label and vintage components. Its height-adjustment mechanism is present, although the mechanism currently operates in only one position and is not fully functional. A highly decorative example of collectible meblo / guzzini lighting, particularly suited to mid-century modern, space age, atomic age, retro, or contemporary interiors.
