This exceptional Tiffany Studios three-light Lily piano lamp was created by Tiffany Studios of New York during the early 20th century, circa 1910. Founded by Louis Comfort Tiffany, Tiffany Studios was one of the most influential American decorative arts companies of the period, renowned worldwide for its innovative stained glass, Favrile glass, bronze craftsmanship, and iconic lighting designs. Tiffany Studios lamps remain highly prized by collectors for their exceptional artistry, originality, and the technical excellence that defined the American Art Nouveau movement.
This elegant piano lamp features a beautifully detailed Artichoke-form patinated bronze base, an impressive example of Tiffany Studios’ sophisticated bronze work and organic-inspired design vocabulary. The base supports three graceful Lily-style shades, recreating one of Tiffany Studios’ most celebrated floral lighting motifs, inspired by the natural form of the lily flower. The lamp combines the timeless beauty of the original Tiffany Studios bronze base with contemporary hand-crafted Lundberg Studios glass shades, produced in 2008 to complement the original design.
The underside of the bronze base is stamped and impressed "TIFFANY STUDIOS NEW YORK 320," confirming its manufacture by Tiffany Studios. Each glass shade bears an etched manufacturer's mark and date on the fitter, reading "Lundberg Studios 2008." The combination of the original Tiffany Studios base and carefully crafted replacement shades creates a striking and functional example of Tiffany-inspired lighting while preserving the elegance of the original design.
The lamp is in great antique condition and retains its original patinated bronze finish. The Lundberg Studios shades are free of chips and cracks. This remarkable three-light Lily piano lamp represents the enduring legacy of Tiffany Studios and remains a beautiful decorative piece for collectors of fine American lighting, Art Nouveau design, and Tiffany Studios works.
