A remarkable circa 1940s Retro necklace crafted in substantial 14K yellow gold with a beautifully fluid snake-link construction.
The sculptural 3-inch centerpiece is completely removable, transforming the necklace from an expressive ruby-and-diamond jewel into a sleek, uninterrupted gold collar. The detachable section is accented with approximately 1.00 carat of rubies and 1.00 carat of diamonds, individually star-set into the polished gold.
Exceptionally substantial at 117.5 grams, the necklace has wonderful weight and presence while remaining supple around the neckline. An unusual and beautifully engineered example of convertible Retro jewelry.
